We aren’t your typical accountants
Rather than being seen as a service provider, Brydon sees Infinite Possibilities as a solutions provider.
We believe in delivering “Accounting as it should be”. And what does “Accounting as it should be” actually mean? It means making sure anything we do for our clients gives them more certainty, more money or more time.
How do we do this? We deliver “Accounting as it should be” by understanding one solution doesn’t fit all so we tailor any advice we offer our clients and their businesses by:
- CHALLENGING their current thinking and questioning the status quo,
- REFRAMING our discussions with our clients around new ideas and perspectives, and then
- GUIDING them to new and better possibilities.
Not sure if you’re qualified?
We’re always looking for new talent to join our team of contract accountants. Please be aware, we are not looking to take on anyone as an employee as we have consciously chosen to work with contractors in business for themselves so they can better relate to our clients challenges in business.
We don’t expect you to have any particular background, or to be qualified as a Chartered Accountant (or equivalent). The most important thing to us is your ability to deliver the work our clients need to the agreed standard, within the agreed timeframes and for less cost to the client than the value the client gets from what we’re doing.
Ideally, you will have:
- Proven experience in preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, individuals, partnerships and any other variations of entity types.
- Knowledge of the various legal requirements relevant to businesses and their owners – a lot of what happens in business is ‘controlled’ by law.
- Better than average understanding of computerised accounting systems (while not necessary, we prefer you have experience using Xero).
- Ability to use Microsoft excel, word and outlook effectively.
- Qualifications that demonstrate a commitment, willingness, and ability to learn new things – this may or may not include CA registration.
And you’ll need to have a proven ability to:
- Focus on delivering value to our clients by making sure the service our clients receive is worth more to them than what they pay us,
- Understand and give clients what they really want and/or need,
- Continually look for ways to “do more with less” for our business and our clients by improving on what we do, and
- Be flexible and adaptable to our clients’ needs.
Are you already doing contract accounting work? We understand you may already have clients or work of your own, and that’s fine. Please mention this in your application (the details of which are at the bottom of this page).
As a contractor, you’ll need to be prepared to provide your own IT equipment capable of connecting to our virtual systems and to meet your own business compliance, insurance, and taxation requirements.
Five reasons to join us
- Earning power – You will have access to an established and developing client portfolio, which we will expect you to service and cultivate. Your earnings will be in line with your experience and ability, and we’re happy to consider ‘bonuses’ where you directly contribute to the growth of our business.
- Work alongside results focused people – We’re continuously seeking to build a leading accounting firm for small to medium sized businesses. To do this we look out for and choose to work with only those people who also are results focussed, which means you’ll be working around people who are open minded, always learning new things, and innovative in their way of thinking.
- Training and support – Even though you may be a contractor, we are happy to provide training and support where relevant to make sure you are empowered to achieve, succeed and enjoy your position with us.
- More than just compliance – Our team has access to a range of best practice resources for the delivery of business services. You will have the opportunity to learn from a different thinker as our Managing Director, Brydon, is more than happy to share what he knows.
- Informal working environment – We make decisions quickly, adapt to changing needs as required, and have open communication. If you’re in our office or meeting with clients, we expect you to present yourself professionally, but we are not a “suit and tie” type of company. Our office is almost completely ‘virtual’ to make it easier for you to work remotely.
What you’ll do as a contract accountant
You’ll be joining our team of contract accountants who are responsible for providing our clients with the accounting services they deserve.
You’ll use:

- Preparing and file statutory documents for trusts and companies
